Khamlungpa was one of the main students of Dromtonpa, who was one of the main disciples of Lama Atisha. Khamlungpa met Lama Atisha when he was very young, which is how it turned out that Dromtonpa became his teacher. He founded his monastery in India where about 800 monks came to congregate.

Khamlungpa is identified as the source of the "Mental Training in 8 sessions" instructions, where the student learns to relate all the key aspects of daily life with the practice of mental training in order to cultivate and exercise the mind of the wake up. "Mental Training: The Great Collection".

Khamlungpa said: "Since it is extremely difficult to obtain a human existence full of opportunities and acquisitions, keep the morality of your actions as if you would protect your own eyes, since you do not know when (the body) may come to an end, fight for develop the spiritual activities of your body and speech, since all positive conditioned actions are (ultimately insignificant) and neutral, make extensive aspirations to benefit sentient beings, since everything is transient and illusory, do not cling to nothing and let go of the grasping of your mind.

Khamlungpa Center is part of the international network of centers of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT).

We have study programs at three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Teachings that are addressed to all people who want to know their mind, to know how it works, transform it and develop a good heart.
