Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche Born in 1946, in Solu Khumbu (Nepal), at the age of three he was recognized as the reincarnation of Lawudo Lama, who had lived nearby.

At the age of ten, Rinpoche went to Tibet, where he remained until the Chinese occupation of Tibet in 1959 forced him into exile in India, where he met Lama Yeshe.

The Lamas went to Nepal in 1967 and began teaching Dharma to Westerners.

In 1974, they began to travel around the world to teach and establish Dharma centers. When Lama Yeshe passed away in 1984, Rinpoche took over as the spiritual leader of his organization, the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), which continues to flourish under his incomparable leadership.

""Use problems as ornaments, viewing them as extremely precious, because they make you quickly attain enlightenment, making you attain bodhicitta. Experience these problems on behalf of all sentient beings, bringing happiness to all sentient beings. This is the ornament."
